Located at the heart of the Las Vegas Strip, Wolcott & KOI Design Group transformed an old restaurant into an exotic and spiritual dining destination in the newly opened Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino. The 10,000 sq. ft. Japanese restaurant beckons diners with a signature entrance of See-Hear-Speak no evil Buddhas. The lounge and bar area is surrounded by a forest of orchids and Tibetan prayer wheels. The significant design challenges was to create an open pre-dining environment that would transform into a private VIP Ultra Lounge for afterhours events. The themed design continues to the main dining room with a mixture of free standing tables, sushi-bar seating, and private booths integrated within a Koi figure. The premier dining experience is in the Fountain Lounge with 14 tables offering unobstructed views of the Bellagio fountains. As each area offers a unique experience, the fish-net ceilings by Formglas cover the space bringing the Asian design onto the street.
