Xirrus
Wolcott designers were selected to provide an environment for Xirrus a start-up high technology company located in Thousand Oaks. Xirrus, the developer of wireless switching networks, relocated to a 25,000 square foot warehouse that was transformed in to a combined administrative, development and testing facility. The design and planning goal was to provide an atmosphere of collaboration and openness. In keeping with their core product, the space like wireless technology, was designed to be all-open with minimal barriers to define hierarchy. The open but somewhat eclectic aesthetic provides some formality in the client facing areas with conferencing center with a loose workstation arrangement to accommodate the workforce. The design succeeded in providing a legitimate but creative space that serves to that motivate and retain the young workforce.
