Space Planning / Conceptual Design

  • Select construction materials and finish options
  • Define allowances for furnishings, accessories, plants and artwork
  • Meet with appropriate governing agencies for preliminary plan check approvals
  • Field check dimension of selected or optional building spaces
  • Prepare final space plan indicating furniture and equipment layout
  • Prepare preliminary occupancy studies of selected or alternative building options
  • Develop conceptual design parameters through presentation of schematic plans, sketches, photos and finish samples
  • Develop and evaluate budgets for selected or alternative space plan studies
  • Refine budget to reflect adjustments made in final plan
  • Determine most functional and efficient plans for buildings under consideration
  • Update schedule refining deadlines for project phases
