Managing Principal

Managing Principal of Wolcott Architecture Interiors, A.J. Wilder, has over 15 years of experience in commercial and residential architecture and design. Wilder’s intimate knowledge of architecture is rooted in extensive construction experience, which augmented his formal education. While earning a Bachelor of Architecture degree at the New York Institute of Technology, Wilder supported himself by constructing custom residences.

After relocating to California to participate in a corporate interiors project for a New York firm, Wilder joined WAI as a project manager. Wilder became an integral part of the design and management team, advancing rapidly to partner. Today, he serves as principal-in-charge of design on a majority of the office’s projects and spearheads the business development efforts for the firm, achieving a steady growth rate in excess of 20% a year for the past five years.

As an active member of the community, Wilder serves as a board member of the Men’s Guild for the Children’s Hospital of Southern California, is a member of the Santa Monica Chapter

of the Young Presidents Organization (YPO) and assists in fundraising events for the Multiple Sclerosis organization.

Wilder is a registered architect in California, New York and numerous other states; is a member of the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards, the American Institute of Architects and is LEED Accredited by the U.S. Green Building Council.
